Sacred Games is Back | Sacred Games Season 2

Netflix released the official trailer for Sacred Games 2, one of the most eagerly awaited series of the year and it has given us PLENTY to think about!

Sacred Games was one of the biggest shows of last year and ever since we were done with season 1, we simply could not wait to get our hands on the second season. With plenty of delays and postponements, and over a year after the first season was released, Netflix finally dropped the trailer for season 2 yesterday and it definitely promises to have plenty of potential!

The trailer hints at a couple of interesting things that we can look forward to when Sacred Games finally does come back on the 15th of August, 2019. The story picks up where we left off at the end of Season 1 with Gaitonde(Nawazuddin Siddiqui) continuing his life-story, while the events around Saif Ali Khan’s, Sartaj Singh take place in the present time. Gaitonde appears to have reemerged somewhere outside of Mumbai (with extensive shoots in Kenya and South Africa, this is probably where he is.), Sartaj is learning about the mysterious Guruji and how to deal with Gaitonde’s warning and a host of new characters are seen, like Ranveer Shorey and Kalki Koechlin’s characters who are rumoured to have pivotal roles in the series.

What else can we expect from Sacred Games Season 2

Apart from this, Netflix had hinted that Sacred Games would now be on a much larger scale than season 1 with much more funding, exotic locations and an even better script(if that’s even possible) for the new season.

We can’t wait to see what the new season has in store for us, we truly hope Anurag Kashyap and team have taken the series to a whole new level in the telling of Gaitonde and Sartaj’s stories and make this season of Sacred Games a memorable one!
